Online Desk : The hearing on the appeal against the High Court’s verdict that postponed the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections has concluded. The Appellate Division has ordered that the DUCSU elections will be held on September 9. The order was passed after a full bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed on Wednesday. The hearing began after 11 am on the same day.
Earlier, the Chamber Judge Court of the Appellate Division upheld the stay order on the High Court order suspending the DUCSU elections. Chamber Judge Justice Farah Mahbub passed the order on Tuesday following an application filed by the Dhaka University authorities seeking a stay on the High Court order.
