Road blocked, secondary teachers stage demo at Press Club

Online Desk: For the eighth consecutive day, teachers of MPO-enlisted secondary schools are staging sit-in in front of Jatiya Press Club. The protest blocked in and around the streets of the press club.
As the day progressed, it also blocked Paltan-High Court road, causing immense sufferings to the commuters.
Visiting the spot, it was found that the teachers are continuing their movement, chanting slogans demanding nationalisation of their services and institutions.
The protesters said the education ministry has contacted the teacher leaders. A representative team will go to the ministry soon.
The teachers under the banner of Bangladesh Teachers Association (BTA) have been protesting since last week keeping the educational institutions in different districts of the country shut. Thousands of teachers and employees from all over the country participated in this movement.
