Online Desk : Bangladesh Nationlist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Bangladesh and the global Muslim community on the occasion of the holy night of Shab-e-Barat. In a statement released through his verified Facebook page on Monday, Tarique highlighted the spiritual significance of the night and prayed for the continued happiness, peace, and prosperity of the “Ummah.”
Describing the night as a “magnificent occasion” within the month of Shaban, the BNP leader noted that Shab-e-Barat serves as a harbinger for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized that the word “Barat” signifies salvation or liberation, a time when the Almighty opens the doors of His infinite mercy and blessings for His servants.
Tarique urged believers to utilize the night for seeking forgiveness for past errors and to engage in virtuous deeds that invite divine grace. He stressed that the true essence of the night lies in seeking deliverance from all forms of injustice, misconduct, and impurity.
In a message of social harmony, the BNP Chairman called for the rejection of violence, bloodshed, and hatred.
