Online Desk : Jatiyotabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) central president Rakibul Islam and general secretary Nasir Uddin met Dhaka University Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan. They went to the VC’s residence around 5:30 pm on Tuesday to discuss the DUCSU elections.
The DU VC said, “Chhatra Dal leaders met me and raised concerns over three issues. First, whether the university administration is influenced by Jamaat-e-Islami; second, whether Jamaat leaders and activists have gathered outside the university gate and the VC aware of this; third, there is concern about election engineering.
Regarding these issues, VC Niaz Ahmed Khan told the reporters, “We respect the opinions of any stakeholder. Sometimes Chhatra Dal leaders come and share their opinions. The university administration is not influenced by any other political party, not just Jamaat.”
Meanwhile, Abidul Islam Khan, a candidate for the post of Vice President (VP) of the Chhatra Dal panel, has made various complaints after the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall Sangsad elections. He said, “So far, we have made 12 complaints but not a single one has been resolved.”
