Online Desk  :   Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has emphasized the crucial role of the police in the country’s development, urging them to play an active part in building a “new Bangladesh.” Speaking at a meeting with field-level police officers in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Monday, Yunus described the police as “frontline people” whose involvement is essential for the nation’s progress. The Chief Advisor said that if we can implement the law correctly, if we can establish discipline, then it is possible to win all wars. Without law, there will be no government, democracy, or civil rights.

Stating that the closer the elections get, the more intense the conspiracies will be, he said, so the police have to be alert. We are in a state of war, the police have to fulfill their duties keeping this in mind. Conspirators will try to destroy peace by taking advantage of this war situation. Yunus said, “Bangladesh is a country with great potential. We have not been able to take that into reality. The opportunity to build a new country has been created through the July Movement. Let us not lose this potential. Bangladesh has the opportunity and potential to reach the level of countries that are leading the world.”
