Mohiuddin Tushar : Managing Director (MD) of Motex Fashion Mohammad Masood Kabir has been honoured with “Agrani Bank’s Top Exporter Award-22” for his unique contribution to earning foreign currency and export sector. Kabir, also chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, was awarded at a grand ceremony at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Monday evening. Chairman of the Agrani Bank Limited Dr Zaid Bakht handed over crests to Kabir and 63 other exporters. Chaired by MD and CEO of the bank Murshedul Kabir, senior officers of the head office and chiefs of all the branches were present on the occasion.

Masood Kabir, who began carrier through joining his paternal uncle’s buying house, Mira Apparels, as a merchandiser after graduation. Completed Apparel Merchandising and Management course from BIFT, he joined Beximco in 2001. He also worked at the Denmark-based Buying House as the GM. In 2012, Kabir founded a buying house, Motex Sourcing, through which his journey as an entrepreneur started.

Motex Fashion launched its journey with a visionary thought and to engage itself in apparel companies.  The cent percent export oriented company, which could so far create job opportunities for over 700 workers, is now exporting knitted sweaters to Denmark, the UK, the USA, Brazil, Italy, France, Canada, Poland, Russia and some other countries directly.
