Online Desk : BNP doesn’t do the politics of keeping the morale of its workers and supporters refreshed by taking selfies, said the party’s standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. He said Khaleda Zia was also the prime minister. But, she didn’t indulge herself in taking selfies. BNP doesn’t want to indulge in selfie politics. Referring to Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina’s selfies with US President Joe Biden during her recent visit to G-20 Summit in New Delhi on September 9 last, Amir Khasru said BNP doesn’t do that type of politics. “The very foundation of their (AWami League) politics is selfie. They have been joined by some senior government officials, law enforcing agency officials and looters. But, Sheikh Hasina’s government will not be able to cling to power with their support,” he said. Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was speaking as the chief guest at a rally organised at Amin Bazar, outskirt of the capital, early Thursday afternoon.
Dhaka District BNP organised the rally at Mirpur Mofid-e-Aam school and College ground at Amin Bazar to press home its one point demand including BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release and bring down the Sheikh Hasina-led government from power. The party wanted to hold rally here on Monday last. But, the organisers alleged that they could not do that being barred by police. Being failed to hold the rally on that day, the Dhaka District BNP organised the rally on Thursday. Amir Khasru said the US didn’t impose visa restriction on judges of any country, but the judges of Bangladesh have been included in visa restriction. Mass media has also been included. Many also have also raised question over it. Some of the journalists would assist in vote rigging and they would not come under sanction — it cannot be happened. The BNP leader claimed that staying in the United States, the prime minister has been trying her best to do something. “But, all her efforts will go in vain,” he said.
