CEC meets President at Bangabhaban

As per protocol, the President is briefed on all preparations prior to the announcement of the election schedule. Following this, the CEC will officially announce the schedule through a broadcast on BTV and Betar.
Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud confirmed that following the meeting with the President on Wednesday, the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum may be announced either in the evening or tomorrow.

He shared the information while speaking to reporters on Tuesday afternoon . He said the CEC will call upon political parties and other stakeholders to cooperate in ensuring a fair and orderly election.
As per tradition, the commission led by Nasir Uddin will meet the President today. Earlier, the full commission met with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus to discuss various election-related matters. In addition, the Election Commission has already published the gazette amending the RPO.
