Online Desk : Leader of the Opposition and Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has said the proposed budget of next fiscal cannot be termed as “pro-people” because indirect tax burden would fall on commoners. “Bangladesh will plunge into a major economic crisis during the implementation of this budget. There will be no foreign direct investment due to lack of congenial atmosphere and employment opportunities will also not be created,” he said.
GM Quader was giving his reactions near Sangsad Bhaban tunnel after placing the next fiscal year’s budget in parliament on Thursday (June 6). Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Md Mujibul Huq Chunnu, ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader and other lawmakers of the party were present.
