11 dengue patients die, 1,917 hospitalised in a day

Online Desk: Eleven more patients died from dengue in the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning, raising the death toll from this mosquito-borne disease to 1,295 this year.
Among the deaths, 4 deaths reported in Dhaka and 11 reported outside the capital.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) some 1,917 were hospitalized with the viral fever during the period.
It said some 7,599 people diagnosed with the fever are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals across the country.
As many as 2,60,829 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Meanwhile, dengue claimed 281 lives in 2022.
