12 dengue patients die, 2,959 admitted to hospitals

Online Desk: Twelve more dengue patients died across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning. With this new fatalities, the death toll from this mosquito-borne disease rose to 364 this year.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said some 2,959 people hospitalised with dengue fever in the same period. Among them, some 1,097 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 1,862 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.
According to DGHS, some 4,460 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 5,330 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka. Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh.
