Online Desk: More than 15 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) were detained by law enforcers in plainclothes in front of the party’s Nayapaltan office and its surrounding areas after Saturday evening.
Getting an information that huge number of law enforcement agencies were found in front of the office, BNP standing committee members Mirza Abbas and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy went to the party office at night.
“Over 15 of our party men were detained by law enforcing agency personnel in plainclothes. Some were cordoned off inside the office after Saturday evening,” the Mirza Abbas said while leaving Nayapaltan office around 12:45am on Sunday.
Gayeshwar Chandra said, “BNP leader and activists have been passing days in fear for the last 15 years. No one can say when Azrael will come.”
