2 killed, 10 injured in Faridpur road collision

Online Desk  :  Two individuals were killed and at least ten others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka–Barishal highway in Faridpur’s Bhanga upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Nabin Sheikh, 22, son of Sheikh Majid, resident of the Dhalar Mor area under Kotwali Police Station in Faridpur Sadar upazila and Rashed, 30, further identity is yet to be known. Nabin was a truck driver and Rashed was a helper by profession.

According to sources, the accident occurred around 10:00 AM at Naupara, in front of the Naupara Livestock Office, when a Dhaka-bound bus from Barishal collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction, killing one individual on the spot and injuring 11 others. Later, the injured were rushed to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared one more as dead. Confirming the death, Bhanga Highway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Helal Uddin said that the bodies were kept at the hospital morgue and further legal procedures are underway.
