The police station OC Saiful Islam said the accident happened around 12.30am when the covered van ran over the rickshaws after its driver lost control on steering nearby traffic police box in Russell Square area. The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where they have been undergoing treatment, the police official said. Police seized the covered van but its driver and helper managed to flee.
