3 workers of Walton factory die of ‘food poisoning’ taking iftar

Al-Amin, 30, an operator, who fell sick after taking iftar,  is undergoing treatment at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital. According to a press release signed by Humayun Kabir, deputy managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industry,
Like other days, the factory arranged iftar for 13,000 workers, it was learnt. Five workers brought soft drinks from outside for iftar. Of them, four fell sick after taking it.

Walton has declared compensation and other financial assistance for the families of victims according to the company policy. A committee has been formed to probe into the incident.
