A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Sylhet and its adjoining areas on Saturday afternoon. The earthquake was felt at 4:18pm, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
The earthquake’s epicentre was in Assam, India, 263-km away from the Dhaka Seismic Centre, the BMD said. There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.
