47 held in anti-drug drives in city

Online Desk: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in anti-drug drives, arrested 47 people from different areas in the city in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am, Wednesday.
DMP Media and Public Relations additional deputy commissioner K N Roy Niyati confirmed the matter.
During the drive, a total of 1271 Yaba pills, 86.02 kilograms of hemp, 323 grams and 20 puria (Small packets) of heroin, eight phensedyl syrups and 800 milliliters of foreign liquor were seized from their possessions.
A total of 29 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
