Online Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been shown arrested in nine separate cases filed with Ramna Model and Paltan police stations.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin on Tuesday accepted the petition to show him arrested in the cases and passed the order.

The Magistrate also fixed Wednesday for hearing on the bail petitions in the cases.

Centering the hearing, the BNP Secretary General was produced before the court on Tuesday morning. Then the Magistrate permitted to shown him arrested in the nine separate cases. Then Fakhrul’s lawyers took part in the hearing and Wednesday was fixed for holding extended bail hearing.

On December 31, Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury fixed today for hearing Fakhrul’s bail petitions in the nine cases.

A total of 11 cases were filed against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following the clashes during the BNP’s grand rally on October 28.

Among the 11 cases, eight were filed with Paltan Model Police Station and three were filed with Ramna Model Police Station.

Meanwhile, Fakhrul was shown arrested on October 29, last year, in the case filed over attack on Chief Justice’s official residence, and later was sent to jail.
