Zamzam water sale banned in country: Consumer Rights DG

Online Desk: Sale of Zamzam water is banned in the country temporarily, said Director General (DG) of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate AHM Shafiquzzaman on Monday. The decision was taken at a meeting on Monday over sale of Zamzam water in the open market.

The sale of the holy water will be kept stopped till further decision, AHM Shafiquzzaman said. “Zamzam water is being sold in Dhaka illegally and it has been commercialized. Now, the market committee would decide what to do.” He said the organisation will be sealed, if anyone violate this ban.
