Online Desk : For the first time, commuter train service on Benapole–Mongla route began on Saturday (June 1). Benapole Rail Station Master Saidur Rahman said that the commuter train left for Mongla at 10am with 500 passengers, reaching Mongla via Khulna’s Phultala at approximately 12:50 pm. Through this, the country’s largest land port Benapole and sea port Mongla are connected by railway. The train will run on the route every day except Tuesday. The route includes stopovers at Navaron, Jhikargacha, Jashore Junction, Rupdia, Singia, Chengutia, Noapara, Bejerdanga, Phultala, Aronghata, Mohammadnagar, Katakhali, Chulkati Bazar, Bhaga, and Digraj stations.
