Explosion at Science Lab building, a portion collapsed, 4 fire service units are working

Online Desk: A portion of a three-storey building in Science Lab area in the city partially collapsed on Sunday morning following an explosion on the third floor. The incident took place at around 10:52am.
Some people were injured in the incident and they were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Four units of Fire Service and Civil Defence responded and doused the blaze at 11:15am. Locals said suddenly they heard a sound of explosion from the building. After that, black smoke engulfed the building. Some said an air-condition exploded, while some said it was a cylinder explosion.
