Arrested Benazir to be returned to Dhaka from Dubai soon : Home Minister

Online Desk : Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed, who was arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be brought back to Bangladesh “very soon,” Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said. The minister disclosed the information while speaking in the National Parliament on Sunday afternoon.
According to Salahuddin Ahmed, the UAE government informed the Bangladesh government via email on June 12 that Benazir Ahmed had been arrested in connection with a corruption case. The Home Minister said efforts were underway to facilitate her return to Bangladesh and expressed confidence that she would be brought back to the country very soon.
