Online Desk : Ad-din Foundation Executive Director Dr Sheikh Mohiuddin Monday denied the allegations made by Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Husain that the Ad-din Hospital authorities had run after him with crores of taka to save their license. Speaking at a press conference held at Ad-din Hospital, he dismissed the minister’s remarks in response to questions from journalists.
Earlier on Saturday, the health minister at a programme in Narsingdi’s Monohardi said, “Nobody needs to pay bribes anymore to get government benefits. Our Prime Minister has given strict directives to stay above corruption. Ad-din Hospital ran after us with crores of taka, but we cancelled their license. Now, Jamaat leaders are speaking in favor of Ad-din.”
Responding to journalists’ queries on the minister’s remarks, Sheikh Mohiuddin said, “Why should I run after the minister? If the minister made such statements, he has to prove it himself. I did not follow anyone with money.”
He also said that an appeal against the cancellation of the hospital’s registration would be filed on Tuesday.
