Additional police deployed near Titumir College to prevent blockade

Online Desk : A large number of police members have taken position in front of the Titumir College at Mohakhali to prevent the blockade programme announced by the students. Meanwhile, Rawa Club to Mohakhali Rail Gate is surrounded by the army. The students of the institution on Monday night announced to block road and railway at Mohakhali from 11AM to 4PM on Tuesday. They also forced the authorities to suspend all academic activities of the college at night as their demand to transform their college into university is not met.
On-duty police officials said that the students are allowed to hold any programme inside the campus, not on road. To avert, any untoward situation, additional police have been deployed. Earlier on Monday, Titumir students first blocked the Mohakhali rail line at 11AM, and later road, causing immense suffering to the train travelers. They attacked trains which left several injured.
