BNP unhappy with CA’s election timeframe proposal

Online Desk : BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the party is not satisfied with the election timeframe announced by Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus. Speaking to reporters after a meeting at the state guest house Jamuna on Wednesday (April 16), he said, “Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has proposed holding the election between December and June, but we are not at all satisfied with this timeframe.”
The BNP delegation entered Jamuna at 12:05 pm for the meeting, which lasted nearly two hours and ended around 2:00 pm. Mirza Fakhrul noted that the Chief Adviser did not mention any specific date for the election. “We told him that December should be the cut-off time for the election. If it is delayed beyond that, unrest may break out in the country,” he added.
The BNP delegation included Standing Committee members Jamir Uddin Sircar, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, and Salauddin Ahmed. On the other hand, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus was accompanied by Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul, and Industry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan.
