DCs asked to ensure potato sale at Tk 26-27 at cold storage

Online Desk: The commerce ministry has directed all the district commissioners to ensure sale of potato at Tk 26-27 per Kg from Wednesday at cold storage.
The ministry issued letters to the deputy commissioners in this regard on Monday, Md Haider Ali, the public relation officer of the ministry, confirmed this on Tuesday.
It said that the traders are selling potatoes in high price than the government price. The government had made the decision under section 3(2)(e) of The Control of Essential Commodities Act, 1956 and directed the DCs to enforce the decision from November 1.
