Online Desk : An alliance of leftist student organisations on Tuesday announced its full panel, titled Protirodh Porshod, for the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election.
The declaration was made at Madhur Canteen by Jabir Ahmed Jubel, General Secretary of Biplobi Chhatra Moitri. The panel has nominated Sheikh Tasnim Afroz Emi, former Vice President of Shamsunnahar Hall Students’ Union in 2019, as its candidate for the post of Vice President (VP).
Meghmallar Bosu, President of Dhaka University unit of Chhatra Union, has been chosen for the post of General Secretary (GS), while Jabir Ahmed Jubel will contest for the post of Assistant General Secretary (AGS). Mozammel Haque, President of Dhaka University unit of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, will run for the position of Liberation War and Democratic Movements Affairs Secretary. Nuzia Hasin, President of DU unit of Biplobi Chhatra Moitri, has been nominated for the post of Common Room, Reading Room and Cafeteria Secretary. Akash Ali will vie for the post of Law and Human Rights Affairs Secretary.
Other candidates include Liton Tripura for Career Development Secretary, Ninad Khan for Transport Secretary, Naim Uddin for International Affairs Secretary and Faria Matin for Literature and Cultural Secretary. Maliha Tabassum has been nominated for the post of Sports Secretary, while Abu Muzahid Akash will contest for Social Service Secretary. The Health and Environment Affairs Secretary post will be contested by Sheikh Tasnuva Sristi and Fatiha Ishraq has been selected for the Science and Technology Secretary position. Almagir Hossain has been nominated for Research and Publications Secretary. The panel also announced the names of its member candidates, which include Md. Tafsirullah, Rajekuzzaman Juel, Mohammad Mostakim, Mishkatul Mashiayat, Atika Anjum Orthi, Prithing Marma, Israt Jahan Imu, Aniya Fahmin, Rahnuma Ahmed Niret, Sajid Ul Islam and Hema Chakma.
