Online Desk : A fire broke out at a leather godown on the fourth floor of a building in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh on Friday afternoon, January 17. The fire was reported around 2:00pm and eight firefighting units are working to douse the blaze, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Being informed about the incident, five units of the fire extinguishers first went to the spot and later, three more units joined these, said Lima Khanam, duty officer at the Fire Service Control Room. However, causes of the fire could not be known and no casualties were reported, she added.
