Former army officer Amaan Azmi’s dismissal order revoked

Online Desk : The dismissal order of former Brigadier General Abdullahil Amaan Azmi, son of the late Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Ghulam Azam, has been revoked, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Friday. The press release states that cancelling the dismissal order of Brigadier General Abdullahil Amaan Azmi on December 24, he was retrospectively placed on “premature (compulsory) retirement” effective from June 24, 2009.
It may be mentioned that Brigadier General Abdullahil Amaan Azmi was placed on “premature (compulsory) retirement” effective from June 24, 2009, with all applicable financial and other benefits. At the same time, the dismissal notification issued by the Ministry of Defence on June 23, 2009 was also cancelled.
