Govt terms 6 demands of students justified

Online Desk : The interim government considers each of the six demands made by the students of Milestone School and College in the capital regarding the plane crash casualties to be justified. Education Adviser C. R. Abrar, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul, and Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam visited the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara and spoke with representatives of the protesting students on Tuesday. The matter was confirmed in a statement issued by the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser.
Following the discussions, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul told reporters that an information center has been established at Milestone School. This center is providing details on the deceased and the injured, as well as any missing individuals. The information is being updated regularly. The government is also arranging compensation, rehabilitation, and trauma management support for the affected families. The statement further noted, “On behalf of the government, an apology has been issued in response to allegations that some army personnel physically assaulted students while controlling the crowd.” Law Adviser added that the army authorities will be informed to take appropriate action.
He also told students that necessary directives would be issued to the Air Force to prevent training flights over densely populated areas. Education Adviser C. R. Abrar informed students that the rescheduled date for the HSC exam, originally set for July 24, will be announced after the regular exam schedule concludes.
