Health minister visits city hospitals to ensure services during Eid holidays

Online Desk : Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen on Wednesday made a surprise visit to the city hospitals to ensure health services during the Eid vacation. The minister visited the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease in the capital. During the visit he went round the emergency departments, Coronary Care Units (CCU), different wards and kitchens of the hospitals.He also talked to patients, visitors, doctors, nurses and other officials of the hospitals and asked the concerned health service providers to maintain health care systems properly during the Eid vacation. On Tuesday, the minister said directors of all hospitals have been instructed to ensure health services during the Eid holidays.He told reporters at the ministry that he will make impromptu visits to hospitals not only in Dhaka but also outside and monitor himself to ensure services are not hampered.
