Jubo Dal leader hacked to death in Khulna

Online Desk  :  A Jubo Dal leader was brutally murdered by slitting his throat in his residence at Dumuria upazila of Khulna district on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Shamim Hossain, 33, son of Abdul Gaffar Sheikh of Uthuli village under Islamkati union in the upazila. Online Desk  :  A Jubo Dal leader was brutally murdered by slitting his throat in his residence at Dumuria upazila of Khulna district on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Shamim Hossain, 33, son of Abdul Gaffar Sheikh of Uthuli village under Islamkati union in the upazila. Shamim was a joint convener of Jubo Dal Islamkati union unit of Satkhira’s Tala upazila.

According to locals, miscreants entered his Atharomail Bazar area’s house at night and stilted his throat and fled. Later, family members and neighbours found the body and informed the police. Being informed by the locals, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Panic has gripped the area following the murder. Additional police have been deployed in the area.

Confirming the incident, Dumuria Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Masud Rana said that the reason for the murder is being investigated.
