Online Desk: Police have detained a man in connection with the attack on Faizul Karim, the mayoral candidate backed by the Islami Andolon Bangladesh for the Barisal City Corporation.
Kotwali thana police detained Mainul Islam Shawpan, a resident of the city’s ward no 22.
Barishal Metropolitan Police in a press release said Faizul Karim came to the police commissioner’s office and orally complained about the attack on him while he went to visit Chabera Khatun Secondary School. As per his complaint, police detained Shawapan in connection with the incident.
