RAB-6’s Bhatiapara camp arrested 5 members of the dacoit team with foreign pistols and local weapons during the robbery at Kashiani in Gopalganj

Staff Reporter : Members of RAB-6 Bhatiapara camp in Kashiani of Gopalganj arrested 5 members of organized bandit gang along with 01 foreign pistol, 04 rounds of bullets and indigenous weapons from Pona bus stand to Sajail road area on the east side on October 18. In order to take further legal action, the arrested accused have been handed over to Kashiani police station of Gopalganj district and a case has been registered.
The Bhatiapara camp members of RAB-6 said, that during the robbery operation, during the duty to recover drugs and arrest terrorists in the Bhatiapara bus stand area, they learned based on secret information that some people are gathering in the Pona bus stand area under Kashiani police station of Gopalganj district with the intention of committing a robbery.
Based on the news, as soon as the raiding party reached the branch road towards Sajail Union on the eastern side of Pona bus stand under Kashiani police station of Gopalganj district, some persons tried to run away when they sensed the presence of RAB with the help of companion officers and forces.1. Md Rakibul Islam (35) Father – Deceased: Fazle R Sheikh, Sang-Jangal Mukundpur, 2. Faisal Sheikh (28), father- Firoz Sheikh, Sang- Khayer Hat, 3. Mohsin Khan (29), Father: Lutfar Rahman Khan, Sang-Barasur, 4. Md. Shafiq Sheikh (26), Father: Md. Basu Sheikh, Sang-Jangal Mukundpur, 5. Naveen Khan (23), Father: Ripon Khan, Sang-Barashur, Sarva Union: Kashiani, Thana- Kashiani, District- Gopalganj arrested and seized 01 foreign pistol, 04 (four) rounds in 01 magazine, 01 switch gear and 07 country-made firearms from their custody in front of the witnesses present. During the interrogation of the arrested accused, they admitted to having assembled with preparation for the purpose of committing robbery.
