RMG workers block Sainik Club-Banani road after bus hits fellow

Online Desk: Garment workers blocked the Sainik Club-Banani road this morning in protest after a female worker got injured when a bus hit her. The injured was identified as Nurun Nahar Begum, a worker of Apparel Industries Limited. She is currently undergoing treatment at Kurmitola General Hospital, said Sub-inspector Jobaydul Islam of Banani Police Station.
According to eyewitnesses, Nurun Nahar was crossing the road when she got hit by the bus around 8:00am. The bus later dragged her to Sainik Club rail-crossing. Our reporter from the spot said the workers were still protesting while filing the report at 10:00am. This correspondent also saw heavy presence of law enforcers in the area.
