Science and technology secretary pays tributes to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

Online Desk: Newly appointed secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Md Ali Hossain today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
After laying the wreath, the ssecretary stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Later, he offered special prayers seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and others who had to embraced martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.
A special prayer was also offered seeking longevity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members. The secretary signed the visitors’ book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex.
Private Secretary to the secretary (Deputy Secretary) Mohammad Sahidul Haque Patwari, Gopalganj Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Moshamat Nazmun Nahar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Khairul Alam and Tungipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Al Mamun, among others, were present.
Earlier on Thursday, Md Ali Hossain was promoted to secretary at the Ministry of Science and Technology.
