Siblings hacked dead during village clash

Two village groups--Akon and Haji groups--had been at loggerheads for a long time at Toyka village under Batamara union. Two village groups–Akon and Haji groups–had been at loggerheads for a long time at Toyka village under Batamara union. As sequel to that feud, two group locked into clashes several times on Monday evening. At one stage of clashes, Helal Bepari and Kamal bepari were hacked to death.

The bodies were, later, sent to a hospital morgue, said Muladi Police Station OC Tusher Kumar Mandal. Barishal police super Wahidul Islam said, ” A team of DB and police went to the spot. They are investigating the incident.” Additional police have been deployed in the village. “Necessary legal steps will be taken after the investigation,” OC Tusher added.
