Students of 7 colleges demonstrate demanding ordinance for university

Online Desk : Students of seven government colleges in the capital on Wednesday staged a procession in New Market area demanding the government Issue the ordinance for establishing a dedicated central university for the colleges.
The government has begun works under the proposed “Dhaka Central University,” but is yet to issue an ordinance to give legal validity to the project, the students alleged. Around 200 students joined the demonstration.
The protest march began at Dhaka College, moved around the Science Lab intersection and reached Iden Mohila College. The march is set to return to Dhaka College main gate via Neelkhel intersection.
