Technical glitch halts metro rail services

Online Desk: Metro rail services were suspended from 9:31am today due to a technical glitch in the overhead electric lines.
“We are working to fix the problems,” Iftikhar Hossain, general manager (operations) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd, told The Daily Star at 11:18am. However, it is not possible to say when the glitch can be fixed, he said.
This was the second time operations of metro rail were halted because of technical problems. On August 7, metro rail services started 40 minutes late due to a technical problem on the tracks.
