Online Desk: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in early Wednesday arrested a top drug smuggler alongwith 21kg of crystal meth, known as ice, from Cox’s Bazar. It is reportedly the biggest seizure of the drug in the country’s history.
A team of BGB 34 Battalion conducted a drive at Balukhali area at Ukhiya upazila around 4am and arrested three persons including ‘Yaba Godfather’ Buzrukh, said BGB public relation officer Md Shariful Islam on Wednesday.
Crystal meth, a dangerously addictive stimulant, despite its steep prices, has become fairly popular among the youth in Bangladesh, especially in Dhaka.
