180 Rohingyas relocated to transit camp from Tumbru

At present, 2970 Rohingyas are staying at Tambru border area. Among them, 2,098 Rohingyas from 377 families are registered while the rest 872 are unregistered. On January 18, the firing started between Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) on the zero-line of Konarpara at Tumbru border.

A Rohingya man was shot dead while two others sustained bullet injuries in the gunfight. They were residents of Jadimuda Camp-26 in Teknaf upazila of the district. Some 4,280 Rohingya have been residing at the zero-line camp since 2017.
