Online Desk : Five dengue patients died and 534 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 16,819 dengue cases and 102 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to September 10 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Tuesday.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year. Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
