Two-thirds of Ijtema ground packed up with devotees

The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: A large number of devotees are gathering on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi, on the outskirts of the city, as the first phase of the Bishwa Ijtema is going to start on Friday (January 13). It will continue till January 15 where the followers of Maulana Zubair Ahmad will join. Two-thirds of places have already filled up with people. Defying cold wave, devotees are heading towards Turag to join the largest gathering of Muslims outside Saudi Arabia.
The second phase of the Ijtema, however, will begin on January 20 at the same venue, which will end with Akheri Munajat on January 22.
