Online Desk : Ten more dengue patients died and 990 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 88,715 dengue cases and 471 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to November 26 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Tuesday. Of the dead, three were from Dhaka North City Corporation, two Dhaka South City Corporation, three from Barishal division, one from Chattogram division, and another from Dhaka district, according to the release.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year. Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
