The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: A youth died after falling into a roadside ditch at Jhikargachha upazila in Jashore district on Sunday night while cheering after Argentina scored the second goal against France. Deceased Rakib Hossain, 22, was son of Aslam Hossain of Magurapatti Dhopapara area of Jhikargachha municipality. According to the eyewitnesses, a big screen was set up at Bangabandhu Park under Jhikargachha municipality to watch the World Cup final match. When Argentina scored their second goal against France, the fans started cheering.

Suddenly, Rakib slipped and fell into the roadside ditch. Then a rod penetrated his abdomen. Critically injured Rakib was rushed to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Jhikargachha Police Station OC Muhidul Islam said the body had been handed over to the family.
