Online Desk: Mobile phone users in different parts of the country are complaining about not getting access to Grameenphone’s network. Grameenphone customers from different parts of Dhaka, including Dhanmondi, Panthapath, and Farmgate areas, said on their social media accounts that they were unable to call other GP numbers.
Contacted, Khairul Basher, head of communications at Grameenphone, said the disruption was due to damage to fibre-optic cables at 3 different locations in the northern regions of the country. The official said they were working to solve the problem.
