Online Desk : Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a BRTC bus and an ambulance on the Faridpur-Barishal highway on Sunday morning (24 May). The incident took place around 10:23 am in the Shankarpasha area of Nagarkanda upazila.
All of the deceased were reportedly passengers of the ambulance. Highway police said the accident occurred when a Faridpur-bound BRTC bus collided head-on with an ambulance coming from the opposite direction, leaving five people dead on the spot.
Bhanga Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Helaluddin said the Nagarkanda Fire Service and highway police launched a rescue operation after the incident. The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately.
