Online Desk: Railway authorities have filed a case against 300 unknown persons for arson attack on Rajshahi rail line. Bhavesh Chandra Rajbanshi, sub-assistant engineer of western railway, filed the case with Rajshahi Railway Police Station on Monday night. Earlier, two cases have been filed by Rajshahi University authorities and police.

Rajshahi GRP Police Station OC Gopal Karmoker said angry mob set fire on rail line near RU Fine Arts feculty gate area around 7:45pm on Sunday (March 12). They also vandalised rail crossing room.

The incident happened when the RU students were staging demonstration, said western railway general manager Ashim Kumar Talukder. Meanwhile, regular classes and examinations at Rajshahi University resumed on Tuesday, which were suspended for two days following clashes between the students and locals in Binodpur on Saturday (March 11) evening.
