Online Desk : Dhaka came to a standstill as students from different colleges and private varsities blocked various city streets as part of the ongoing quota reform movement. After 12noon on Tuesday, students from Dhaka College, Ideal College, City College, Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College started gathering in Science Lab intersection, causing huge traffic congestion in and around the area.
BM College and Infra Polytechnic Institute students blocked the Dhaka-Barishal highway near the Nathullabad bus terminal, around 11:30 am, halting all types of vehicular movement, while Barishal Polytechnic Institute students chanted slogans for quota reforms.
