The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: The Election Commission (EC) will announce the schedule of the country’s 22nd presidential polls on Wednesday (January 25, 2023). Chief Election Commission (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal stated this following a scheduled meeting with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury on Tuesday (January 24, 2023). Earlier at 2:00pm, the CEC went Jatiya Sangsad to meet the Speaker.
Following the meeting, the CEC said it was decided to announce the election schedule. So, the EC convened a meeting at 11:00am on Wednesday. Replying to a question, Kazi Habibul Awal said the by-elections in six vacant parliamentary constituencies would not an obstacle to hold the presidential polls.
